Do I have to put my staff into a pension scheme?

I have a couple of part-time employees and I'm not sure if auto-enrolment applies to a business our size.

Auto-enrolment duties apply to all employers regardless of size — if you have any staff who are eligible (broadly, aged 22 to state pension age and earning above the earnings trigger), you must automatically enrol them into a workplace pension and contribute at least the statutory employer minimum. Even staff who don't meet the eligibility criteria usually still have a right to opt in or join, and you have ongoing duties like re-enrolment every three years. Setting this up correctly (choosing a scheme, assessing staff, running contributions through payroll) is easy to get wrong, so it's worth getting a bookkeeper or payroll provider to handle it.
