Can I file my tax return on paper instead of online?
I'm not comfortable with online forms and wondered if a paper return is still allowed.

Yes, paper Self-Assessment returns are still accepted but the deadline is much earlier, 31 October following the end of the tax year, rather than 31 January for online filing. Given the earlier cutoff and the risk of postal delays, most people (and accountants) file online through HMRC's system or commercial software instead. If you'd rather not deal with either, a bookkeeper or accountant can file on your behalf using their own software.
